Scored a delicious Greek restaurant in New York!
The restaurant is called Kyma, and we went to the one on 18th Street.🌟 Three of us ordered one appetizer, one side dish, and two main courses, and we were stuffed to the brim. The culprit must be the free bread they give—a whole basin of it—and we just couldn’t stop eating it. Before we knew it, we’d polished off five pieces, and our stomachs were pretty full.🌟 The first picture is of Kyma chips, fried zucchini and eggplant. The oil wasn’t too much, but the real standout was the cucumber yogurt sauce Tzatziki next to it!!! I don’t know what else is in there, but it’s so refreshing. We dipped all the yogurt sauce before even finishing half of the fried items.🌟🌟 The second picture is of Lavraki, which I think is grilled Greek sea bream? I like my food on the lighter side, so if you just eat the fish, it’s a bit salty. But the meat is very tender, and squeezing the provided lemon juice can balance out the saltiness. It’s still very delicious. The side dish we ordered was brussels sprouts, and I still found it a bit salty, but the yogurt sauce below……so good……….🌟🌟🌟 The third picture is of Swordfish kebab. The hummus sauce at the bottom is top-notch, but the texture of the whole kebab is a bit dry and chewy. I’m not sure if that’s just how swordfish is? They also provided small roasted potatoes 🥔 that were pretty good. Finally, the mocktails we ordered were all sweet and sour. If they’re not to your taste, you can just tell them, and they’ll adjust it based on your feedback. The service attitude is fantastic! Overall, I give Kyma 🌟🌟🌟🌟 definitely worth a visit! Next time, I want to try the salads; almost every table ordered at least one salad, and they looked super fresh and delicious. #NewYorkRestaurantRecommendation #AtmosphericRestaurant #HiddenGemRestaurant #NewYorkDining #GreekCuisine #RecordLife
