Seafood Delights at Angler
The last Michelin experience before heading to Paris, so I didn't feel like having a heavy meal. I chose this seafood restaurant, which looked refreshing. Located in London's old financial district, the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. If you sit by the window, the view is quite photogenic. 📸 The flavors were decent overall. The seafood dishes were excellent, but the main course and pre-dessert were a bit underwhelming. - Cheese Cornetto ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crispy with a rich, savory flavor. 🍔 - Onion Tart ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Flaky and crisp, with a delightful mix of sweet onions and savory cheese. 🥧 - Crispy Pig’s Head ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The skin is crispy, the pork is tender, and the vinegar pairing is spot on. 🐖 - Tuna Tartare ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A unique blend of sour and ginger flavors with a touch of sweet pepper sauce, but the quality of the fish seemed average. 🐟 - Roast Orkney Scallop ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The scallops are sweet, the white asparagus is crisp, and there’s a delightful apple tang. 🦪 - Steamed Wild Turbot ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The turbot is firm yet tender, and the mussels add a nice umami flavor. 🐟 - Newlyn Cod ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The cod is delicate and retains a hint of wine aroma. 🐟 - Windsor Park Venison ⭐️⭐️ The red wine sauce has a peculiar taste, the gamey flavor of the venison isn't fully masked, and the doneness of the meat isn't perfect. 🦌 - Pre-Dessert ⭐️⭐️ It smells like fermented rice wine but has a slightly bitter taste. It’s reminiscent of rice wine but not as enjoyable and doesn’t cleanse the palate effectively. 🍵 - 70% Chocolate ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It’s hard for a chocolate dessert to be bad. The bitter and sweet flavors are well-balanced, with a mix of smooth and crunchy textures. 🍫 - Petit Four ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Pine Nut Financier: Soft and flavorful. 🌲 - Toasted Coconut & Thai Tea: Reminiscent of coconut milk candy. 🥥 - Yuzu & White Chocolate: Refreshingly sweet and tangy. 🍋 Today's Spend: £207.71 Recommendation: 7/10 #GlobalVillageFoodieContest #StreetFoodExplorer #FoodieUniverse #EuroAustraliaCharmBay
