Seattle Summer Activity | A Drive-In Movie in the Park 🚗

I can’t even remember the last time I went to a traditional movie theater. Although restrictions have been lifted, I’m still hesitant to spend long periods in crowded, enclosed spaces. I stumbled upon the concept of a drive-in theater on Instagram and immediately bought tickets to check it out! 🚗 The theater is located at Marymoor Park in Redmond, which is also a popular park for dog lovers in the Seattle area. Since the projection is best when it’s completely dark, the movie doesn’t start until around 9:30 pm, even though the official time is listed as 9:15 pm. 🎬 If you want to sit in the trunk, just let the staff know when you enter. However, this section is the farthest from the screen, so the viewing experience might not be as good. The park has some food trucks and portable toilets, but it’s pretty dark at night, so it’s best to take care of your needs at home if possible. 😬 💡 Tips ✏️ Follow their Facebook or Instagram to stay updated on when tickets go on sale, as they often sell out on the day they’re released; ✏️ There are quite a few mosquitoes at night, so bring insect repellent; ✏️ If you don’t want to stay in your car, you can bring foldable chairs, blankets, or air mattresses, as it can get a bit chilly at night. 🚗 The movie we watched was “The Lion King.” There were lots of kids, and I saw many parents set up their car roofs like cozy beds, with children lying down, watching the movie and munching on popcorn. It was so delightful! #SummerActivity #SeattleFun #WeekendLife #DateNight
