Seattle to Yellowstone Fourth Stop β Cody, Wyoming ποΈπ€
Cody is a historic Western town named after the famous cowboy William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody. Nestled at the foot of Rattlesnake Mountain in the Bighorn Basin, it lies just 84 km from Yellowstoneβs West Entrance. Founded by Buffalo Bill himself in 1896, the town is packed with authentic Wild West charm. π€ πͺ 1οΈβ£ Buffalo Bill Center of the West features five fascinating museums documenting the legends of the Old West: Draper Natural History Museum π¦ Cody Firearms Museum π« Whitney Gallery of Western Art πΌοΈ Buffalo Bill Museum π Plains Indian Museum πͺΆ All five are connected under one roof, and the ticket is valid for two consecutive days. We spent about half a day exploring and felt that was just enough time. Every June, the museum hosts a traditional Powwow β a beautiful cultural celebration! We also heard about Old Trail Town, which recreates an old Western street with original buildings and artifacts β but due to limited time, we skipped it this time and focused on the museums. Oops, just realized thereβs a word limit β stay tuned for my next post about the nightly rodeo shows and local restaurants! ππΈ #OffTheBeatenPath #UniqueTravel #Yellowstone #CodyWyoming #SeattleToYellowstone #TravelAroundTheWorld
