Second Visit to Classic French Spot Parc in Philly đ„
My first time here, I tried their famous onion soup and totally regretted itâeven with baguette, it was way too salty đ . This time, I skipped the known pitfalls and ordered less-hyped dishesâand they were surprisingly good! đ„Ł Gazpacho A chilled Spanish soup blended from tomatoes, cucumber, and bell peppers. Refreshing and perfect for summerâmuch better than that onion soup! đ Escargot Rich, garlicky baked snailsâabout six large ones per order. Very flavorful. đ Lamb Tagine â BEST DISH OF THE NIGHT! Reminded me of Uyghur pilaf, but with couscous, raisins, and dried apricots for extra texture and sweetness. The seasoned lamb meatballs had zero gamey taste. Tagine is a traditional Moroccan preparationâwho knew my favorite dish at a French restaurant would be this đđ. đČ Beef Bourguignon Classic French beef stewâsolid but not exceptional. Portion was generous though. đš Profiteroles Puff pastry filled with vanilla ice cream. We waited 20 minutes for this dessertâlonger than any main course! đ Summary: ~$70 per person. Lesson learned: avoid the onion soup and trout, and youâll have a great time at Parc! đ 227 S 18th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 #AmericanLife #PhillyArea #FrenchCuisine #StudyAbroad #LifeInTheUS #PhillyFood
