Seeking Tulsa's Blue Dome 🚗 North American Road Trip

This Tulsa landmark, built in 1924, once served as a 24-hour gas station for travelers along Route 66. ⛽🛣️ Blue Dome District: The area around this structure is now the city’s premier nightlife hub. 🍻🌃 Within a few blocks, you’ll find countless restaurants and diverse cuisines. However, unlike China’s bustling food streets (such as Confucius Temple/Laomendong/1912 Block), this district feels a bit… wild and undeveloped. 🏚️ Looking at the live street view, the area appears somewhat deserted. With its open layout, how can it attract more people? It’s honestly a bit frustrating! 😣 Take Nanjing’s Laomendong—a food street packed with iconic local eateries—look at the crowds there! When will Americans catch on?!!!!!!! 👥🔥 The Blue Dome District essentially offers three things: bars + restaurants + murals. A drink and some passion, two people sitting across from each other, clinking glasses 🥂… and so begins the conversation. This pretty much sums up North American bar culture. Speaking of bars: Personally, I preferred the vibe of Lijiang’s bars around 2012. Beyond the so-called "romantic encounters," the atmosphere, the skill of the live singers, and the authentic voices of local minority singers left a deep impression on me. 🎤🍷 Now, back to restaurants: Finally found a slightly refined cuisine: Yokozuna Sushi 🍣. Other food options? Honestly… bulky, bland, and unimpressive. Skip ’em! Especially Juniper—pairing wine with burgers is like having shark fin with steamed buns in China. Just doesn’t feel right. 🍔🍷❌ Murals/Graffiti: Honestly, the mural artistry here is at least nine levels above the chefs’ skills. 🎨✨ Maybe one day I’ll paint one myself… well, for now, the only thing I can draw decently is a national flag. 🇺🇸😅 #USATravel #Tulsa #RoadTrip #BlueDomeDistrict #Foodie #Nightlife
