Seville April Fair Guide | One Must Be Passionate at Least Once

Blooming flowers, the clatter of hooves, and the lingering notes of flamenco from taverns... For many, Seville embodies the image of Spain 🍊 The romance and passion of the Spanish are even more vividly displayed at the April Fair in Seville. This famous festival originally started as an agricultural trade fair and later evolved into a spring festival of song and dance 💃 This year's April Fair will be held from April 13th to 21st. The "pilot light" at midnight on Saturday marks the official beginning of the festival. During the festival, riders will parade through the streets wearing wide-brimmed hats; ladies dressed in dance skirts, adorned with flowers, dance to the music. The nights are left for the young people and tourists, who gather among the tents decorated with colorful lights to enjoy music, dance, and food. Finally, on the 21st, a midnight fireworks display ends a week of revelry. 1⃣️ April 13th (Saturday): "Fried Fish Night," enjoy fried fish and wine for dinner. 2⃣️ April 14th (Sunday): Lighting of the main gate and Real de la Feria street (00:00). 3⃣️ April 17th (Wednesday): Local festival day. 4⃣️ April 21st (Sunday): Fireworks. Want to quickly blend into the April Fair? Be sure to save these tips: ⛺️ Tents The most interesting part of the April Fair is the tents on the square. Tents are usually open from 12 pm to 3 am. Public tents can be visited at will, while private ones are usually reserved by families or groups of friends for parties, and you can only enter by invitation. The tourist tent is located at Pascual Márquez 225-229, with performances at four time slots each day (4 pm - 6 pm; 7/8 pm - 9/10 pm; 10 pm - 12 am; 1 am - 3 am). It is necessary to email in advance to reserve a seat. 🐟 Andalusian Cuisine You can indulge in delicious food inside the tents. Traditional dishes such as Andalusian gazpacho, fried fish, escabeche, stews, and stewed oxtail are all worth a try. Most places accept card payments, but it is recommended to carry cash. 🎡 Infanto Street Next to the fair is this very lively entertainment area, with many amusement rides and stalls for drinks and snacks. 💃 Seville Dress During the festival, all the girls wear Seville's characteristic long skirts, with a large flower or small comb in their hair. Girls who want to blend into the festive atmosphere can also adorn themselves with a flower and dance to the music. 🐎 Horse-drawn Carriages You can not only take a tour of the April Fair venue but also explore this unique city by horse-drawn carriage. 【Transportation Information】 The April Fair will be held in the Barrio de los Remedios district. 🚌 Buses: Routes 5, 6, 41, C1, and C2 (6:00 to 24:00) 🚇 Metro: Stations Blas Infante, Parque de los Príncipes, and Plaza de Cuba are all accessible. #SpainTravel #EuropeanTour #Seville
