A comprehensive Portuguese food guide for Asian taste buds 🥰 【Brunch Category】 The Folks Santos This place was almost full on a weekday morning when I visited, packed with locals or white girls. Super tasty! Around €10+ per person. The pistachio latte with latte art was incredibly fragrant! The shop also has a florist inside, with Instagram-worthy decor and a great ambiance. Restaurante Hygge Kaffe A hidden brunch gem in a real residential area. Around €10 per person, offering exquisite eggs Benedict and Portuguese-style specialty coffee. Very popular among locals—if you go late during peak hours, you might not get a seat. 【Portuguese Cuisine】 O Castiço The seafood rice here is super fresh! Not as salty as other places—I could finish a whole pot by myself! Around €20-30 per person. P.S. Portuguese seafood rice is soupy, making it smoother and more enjoyable than Spain’s drier version. Uma Gotta admit, the seafood rice with crab roe and whole crab is indeed more flavorful and suits the taste of most Chinese folks. Around €20 per person. Opinions on Xiaohongshu are mixed, but if you love crab, just go for it! 【Asian Cuisine】 Han Table BBQ I was surprised to find a restaurant near my hotel with a 4.9 Google rating—turned out to be Yanbian-style BBQ! Went immediately. The beef set was huge, almost impossible to finish! Around €20-30 per person. Great service—they changed the grill five times proactively. There’s a Chinese staff member, and they even gave us free lettuce. Wu Gong Niu Stir-fried noodles with wok hei! Added chili for a full-on satisfaction, paired with Zhenjiang vinegar and complimentary jujube tea. Around €10 per person. During a major blackout in Spain and Portugal, supermarkets locked their doors, and this Chinese restaurant’s last few dishes saved my life 🥹 【Pasteis de Nata Category】 Pasteis de Belem (Flagship Store) No need to explain—this is the century-old original Portuguese tart shop. The crust is super crispy, and most importantly, it’s less sweet compared to others! The line can be long, but hey, it’s the world’s first pastel de nata shop. €1.5 each. Marie Blachère These tarts are on the sweeter side with a slightly runny center. Freshly baked, they’re absolutely intoxicating! Located right next to the Santa Justa Lift. The staff is super friendly and interactive 😆 €1.4 each. #KeepingItRealAboutFood #Lisbon #PortugalTravel #FoodRecommendations
