Sheffield Hidden Gem: Kelham Island Museum βοΈπ
I initially decided to visit on a whim, thinking it was free and within walking distance, and I just wanted to take a stroll. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was much more developed than I had imagined, with plenty of areas to explore, both up and down. π€οΈποΈAs an ancient industrial city, Sheffield has a lot to display. The museum houses many large machines, including a gas engine and a drop hammer workshop, as well as some vintage cars. There are spots where those of us with itchy hands can touch, twist, and press things. There's a coffee place at the entrance, and they occasionally host events on weekends. Overall, I left satisfied. πThe reason I decided to write this post is that the staff inside were incredibly friendly. Whenever they passed by and saw that you were interested, they would look very happy. Since it's free and relies on donations, two elderly staff members with smiles asked us if we enjoyed our visit, and if we did, could we please recommend it to our friends. I thought about it and realized that it was indeed a bit quiet, and there aren't many places to visit in Sheffield, so I decided to write a recommendation. Tip: Although I think the industrial style inside is great for photos, everyone was quietly enjoying the exhibits. Also, since it's free, I wouldn't recommend going there to take a lot of selfies. #Sheffield #SheffieldUniversity #UK #HiddenGem #CityWalk #CheckIn
