πΏπ Shinwa Museum πΈπΊ
The first time I visited Kyoto, I went to the Kyoto National Museum, and after several years, πΏπ I can truly say there are so many wonderful things to see, especially the works of Huang Gongwang! π¨ β¨ Later, I started to discover various smaller museums, like Shinwa Museum. Shinwa Museum is where the Sumitomo family has turned their collection into a museum. πΏπ Most of the collection comes from Sumitomo Shunsui, who, interestingly enough, was an adopted son of the Sumitomo family. It turns out that in Japan, there is a tradition of passing family assets to adopted sons. π―π What I look forward to the most at Shinwa Museum are the bronze artifacts from the Shang and Zhou dynasties, πΏπ along with some traditional Chinese paintings. π₯ πΌοΈ I once heard a legend that when Sumitomo Shunsui began his collection, he struggled to determine his focus. Eventually, he visited the Louvre, which helped him decide to collect Chinese bronze artifacts. πβ¨ #Japan πΈ
