Short Trip to NC | Charleston Food Diary π½οΈ
New parents here β bravely traveled to Charleston + Savannah with our 3-month-old! ππ¨ Drove 4.5 hours from NC and hit all the bookmarked food spots. Hereβs the tea: Day 1: Lunch: Lewis BBQ π Just okay β traditional, a bit salty. Ribs were decent. Afternoon: Babas on Cannon βοΈ Peanut butter mocha + a chocolate profiterole β delicious! Chill street seating. π Afternoon: La PΓ’tisserie π° Pretty but too sweet β three desserts tasted the same. Vibes > flavor. Dinner: Husk β The reason Iβm writing this review! BIG letdown. Ribs: Acceptable Shrimp: So greasy it made me nauseous π€’ Chicken: Boring Dessert: A sad pie with sad ice cream π₯§ How is this fine dining? π Day 2: Brunch: Iron Rose π₯ Gorgeous ambiance but terrible service β only 2 servers for the whole place! Food saved the day: Benedict eggs + tres leches cake were yummy. π³π Snack: Callieβs Biscuit (City Market) π₯― Meh β not worth a special trip. #CharlestonEats #NewParentsTravel #FoodFail #SouthernFood #TravelWithBaby πΆπ€
