since we’re here, let’s try that French escargot and confit duck.

After a day of touring the Louvre, might as well pop by Notre-Dame to see the exterior while we’re at it. Perfect timing for dinner. Opened Google Maps and went for the highest-rated place at 4.8. Found it! Made a reservation on the spot, and luckily, there was a table available. Around 7 PM, the place was almost full. There’s only one chef and one assistant, cooking each dish carefully. Be patient! 🍽️ The menu surprise – no English menu, only French. So, I had to order by matching pictures on Google Maps. Showing them the pictures worked too! 🦆 Confit Duck So delicious! Especially the sauce, I absolutely love it! So unique. The confit duck leg was incredibly aromatic. The skin was a bit fatty, but the meat was still tender. The basil olive oil mini potatoes on the side were a nice touch. 🐌 French Escargot My second time eating snails, and it’s the same as before – strong flavoring. The meat is like a larger version of escargot and a smaller version of abalone, but without the fishy taste. The flavor depends on the seasoning, and the basil sauce was quite good. The tool for eating it is kind of funny. 🐸 Butter Bullfrog Not bad. I didn’t expect France to have bullfrog on the menu. It was aromatic, but a bit greasy because it was cooked in a lot of oil. Anyway, it was decent. Very hot and spicy, that’s for sure. 🥖 Baguette with Garlic Cheese Dip Pretty good, the cheese sauce was quite aromatic. A very traditional way of eating it. 🕐 Open from 12:00-23:00, closed on Mondays, but dinner actually starts at 18:00. 💶 Average cost €25-35, you can spend as much or as little as you like. #Paris #FranceParis #ParisFood #FrenchRestaurant #FrenchCuisine #FranceParisFood #FranceParisTravel #NotreDame #ParisRestaurantRecommendations #ParisRestaurants
