Slovakia - The Old Town of Bardejov
The Bardejov Town Conservation Reserve is located in the hilly region on the right bank of the Topl'a River in northeastern Slovakia. The Old Town was originally founded in the 9th century. Though small, it is remarkably intact and well-preserved, representing the urbanization process of the region. Since the Middle Ages, its buildings have not been subjected to any man-made destruction and still maintain the appearance of a medieval city. Bardejov is an example of a medieval fortified town.😻😻😻 The Old Town Hall, built in the 15th century, is the first building in Slovakia that combines late Gothic and early Renaissance styles. St. Egidius Church in the central square, built in 1464, is a late Gothic structure.😀😀😀 A panoramic view of the central square of Bardejov Old Town.
