So Close to Five Stars!

Let’s start with the positives — because there were plenty! 🌟 What Shined: Otto’s vision is to deliver an ultra-luxurious, unforgettable dining experience — and in many ways, they absolutely nailed it. Service was excellent — skilled, warm, and passionate. A sincere thank you to the team. Fun culinary performances in the dining room — engaging, theatrical, and memorable! They serve classic dishes with a nostalgic twist — truly delightful at moments. 🧂 So Why Not 5 Stars? A few things held the experience back from perfection: Uneven ambiance — the upstairs felt lively and elegant, while the downstairs felt disconnected, dim, and a bit cold. Pricing felt inflated — not inherently overpriced, but the value didn’t always match the cost. Most importantly — the flavor execution fell short. The Wellington was overcooked (though fairly removed from the bill — thank you for that) Sauces were smooth but lacked depth and seasoning Even the beef tartare needed a boost — we ended up adding Worcestershire and Tabasco ourselves The soufflé was on the verge of splitting The chicken skin was soft in places — not quite the crisp perfection we hoped for 💬 Final Take: At around £150 per person, Otto’s offers a memorable, glamorous experience — perhaps worth trying if you’re seeking something unusual and luxurious. But when it comes to flawless execution and consistent flavor, there’s still room to grow. #OttosLondon #FineDining #HonestReview #WellingtonBeef #LuxuryExperience #AlmostThere
