Soho Delights | Sushi Hand Rolls π£
I've been wanting to try the super popular hand roll sushi in Soho for ages. Finally got the chance during a Christmas shopping trip to NY! The only catch is that you can't dine in after 2:30 pm, or you have to wait until 5 pm when they reopen. We ended up eating outside, but it wasn't too cold, and we could order a warm drink to keep our hands toasty. The cups here are super cute and have a nice Japanese vibe. π΅ Restaurant Name: Nami Nori π Nami Nori, 33 Carmine St, New York, NY 10014 π Nami Nori Williamsburg, 236 N 12th St, Brooklyn, NY 11211 Appetizers Calamari: Fried squid is such a winter treat! It's not greasy at all and just the right amount of salt. There are lots of arugula with a tangy flavor, and the squid pieces are large and tender. You can really taste the batter. π¦ Caviar Mashed Potatoes: Unlike regular mashed potatoes, these have larger chunks and some crispy bits (maybe cucumber) that add a nice crunch. The caviar on top is huge and bursts with flavor. π₯ Roasted Poblano Peppers: Our table didn't order this, but the people next to us raved about it. As soon as it arrived, the strong smell of roasted peppers filled the air. π Main Course Signature Set: Five signature hand rolls. They look small but each has a unique flavor. The textures are amazingβcrispy and soft. There are onions or scallions on top, and some have wasabi in the middle... Beware, it's quite spicy! The fried ones are best eaten hot. π Spicy Lobster: A separate hand roll worth trying, though it has a lot of wasabi. The top is crispy. π¦ #Foodie #Sushi #NYCDining π½π
