I based myself in Cannes for 8 days, taking daily trains to nearby townsāsuper convenient! But if I could redo it, Iād stay in Antibes (my favorite!) or Nice for better vibes. š City Ratings & Tips š¦ Cannes: 7/10 Skip if not for the film festivalāoverpriced with meh service. Stay: Pierre et Vacances Cannes Villa Francia (3km from center, sea views). ā¬200/night during festivals, cheaper off-season. Eat: ā ASTOUX ET BRUN (ā¬40): Oysters = š, grilled fish = š ā Pitaya ThaĆÆ Street Food: Avoid! ā ļø Yvan's (ā¬40): Frogsā legs = bland, duck liver steak = š„, soufflĆ© = overpriced š L'AFFABLE (Michelin): Booked but canceled due to city-wide blackoutāsomeone try it for me! šļø Antibes: 8/10 Hidden gem! Affordable, friendly, with stunning sea + mountain views. Must-do: Picasso Museum + coastal hike. Eat: ā La Pergola (ā¬20): Grandpa-run spotāwarmest service ever! ā LA PESCHERIA: ā¬12 for 6 oysters (breakfast win!). Regret not trying sashimi! š Menton/Monaco: 5/10 Skip unless you love casinos/postcard pics. šļø Nice: 8/10 Vibrant + turquoise waters! Old Town = perfect for wandering. Eat: Brasserie Le Gambetta (ā¬40): Packed with locals. Seafood pasta = huge (but not my taste), burnt toast on uni tartare š . š Transport All cities walkable from stations (except Niceāuse trams).
