Solo Trip | 🇩🇪 Mainz in 4 Hours
After my thesis defense and a power nap, I dashed out to explore this cozy little town—no itinerary needed, just wandering freely was pure bliss. 😌 🚦 The traffic lights here are so cute! Passing by Schillerplatz, I stumbled upon the Herbstfest (Autumn Festival)—bustling with people eating, drinking, and having fun. So many dogs too! 🐕 ⛪ St. Stephan’s Church is a must-see, with its pink walls and iconic blue stained-glass windows. 🏛 Mainz Cathedral (Dom) had a museum, but I arrived too late—still, the church was open. The cemetery inside was eerily peaceful. The Old Town was lively—just watching bubble-blowers entertain kids was fun. 🫧 (Honestly, seeing so many strollers made me dislike children a little less lol.) 🍖 Finally, I devoured grilled pork ribs at Stadtbalkon—delicious! But eating ribs with a knife and fork was a struggle… I need chopsticks next time. 🥢 Verdict? Mainz is perfect for a chill half-day trip if you're near Frankfurt! 🚶 #StudyInGermany #MyStudyAbroadStory #LifeInGermany ✨
