🌿 Solo Trip in NZ | Days 47-51: Nelson (Final Stop!) 🇳🇿
Nelson—New Zealand’s oldest city and a paradise for hikers, retirees, and nature lovers—was the perfect finale to my NZ adventure! 📍 Must-Do Activities: 1️⃣ Cable Bay Lookout 30min drive from town + a short but steep hike (slippery when wet!). Worth it for the dual-tide ocean views! 🌊 Tip: Go at high tide for the best colors! 2️⃣ Abel Tasman National Park 🏕️ Multi-day hikes & campsites—book water taxis in advance! Trails range from easy strolls to 3-day treks. 3️⃣ Split Apple Rock 🍎 A bizarre, apple-shaped boulder—best seen by kayak! 🚣 4️⃣ Princes Drive Lookout 💙 Scenic coastal drive with a hidden heart-shaped island—sunset magic! 5️⃣ Pic’s Peanut Butter World 🥜 Factory tours (book ahead!)—peanut butter heaven! 6️⃣ Christ Church Cathedral ⛪ Nelson’s grandest church (a must for my sacred-architecture obsession). 7️⃣ Yellowstone Park (next to Queen’s Garden) A Chinese-inspired garden with pagodas & koi ponds. 8️⃣ Wharariki Beach 🏜️ 3hrs from town, but stunning (like a Windows wallpaper!). Spot seals, walk between rocks at low tide—but beware wind & sun! ✨ Why Nelson? ✔ Laid-back vibe + epic nature. ✔ Perfect mix of adventure & relaxation. ✔ The ideal farewell to Aotearoa! #SoloTravelNZ #NelsonAdventures #AbelTasman #NZMustSee #TravelDiaries
