Southern Food at a Historic & Original Restaurant 🍴🎵

While visiting the Vanderbilt area, we discovered this restaurant located close to our Airbnb. It's clearly a local favorite with deep historic roots—yet it warmly welcomes tourists too. The bar offered an impressive selection of drinks and a solid beer list, though the wine menu was somewhat limited. Still, we found a couple of options that suited our taste. 🍷🍺 We started with the fried pickles as an appetizer—a bit greasy for my liking, but the pickles were sliced lengthwise, which gave them a unique and tasty twist! My wife ordered the shrimp and grits… a little too thick for her preference, but full of wonderful flavor. I went for the chicken fried chicken—it was delicious, especially the flavorful stuffing. 😋 Adding to the cozy and authentic atmosphere, a young singer-songwriter performed live, strumming her guitar and sharing original songs. It truly elevated the whole experience! The meal was satisfying, and our server was friendly and helpful throughout.
