Spanish Flavors in Brussels | Michelin Guide
๐ฆ๐ป As a resident of the Sablon area, Iโm surrounded by MichelinStar restaurants and art galleries at every turn, yet I often take them for granted in my daily life. So, a big thanks to Brother Cui for the invitation, which opened a new chapter in my culinary exploration! ๐ป ๐ช๐ธ Hispania Brussels, as a hotel restaurant, has a decor that leans towards formal and classical. However, due to the small size of the venue, the proximity of the tables is a bit too close for comfort, causing a slight sense of discomfort. ๐ฅ For our meal, we mainly ordered some specialties and recommended dishes. The RoastSucklingPig recommended by Brother Cui, as well as the #CuttlefishRice, were both highly anticipated. ๐ The roasted meat was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a rich sauce that complemented the meat well, providing a refreshing balance. The only downside was that the fat at the junction of the skin and meat was a bit too abundant, making it slightly oily if eaten too quickly or in excess. ๐ฆ The cuttlefish rice had a rich texture, paired with large chunks of seafood, offering a refreshing and bouncy mouthfeel. Highly recommended. ๐ The appetizer of shellfish was less recommendable; the texture was a bit soft, and the seasoning was heavy, masking the original flavor of the seafood. ๐ฎ For desserts, we tried three options. The cheesecake was the most recommended, while the other two were rather average and not outstanding. Hispania, a Spanish culinary brand, has a presence not only in #Brussels but also in London. However, only the Brussels location is featured in the BrusselsMichelinGuide. #Belgium #BelgiumTravel
