Spending Thanksgiving in 🇺🇸 New Orleans 🥳🥳

My first stop traveling in the U.S. ^ ^ Overall, it was such a perfect trip (even caught a cold off-peak, perfect timing somehow 😅). Big thanks to 🐮 for powering through the whole journey on cold meds — driving 12 hours round-trip with intense focus. Meanwhile, all I did was chat about old memories and hand over Starbucks cups 😌 Day 1: We strolled through the French Quarter, visited the WWII Museum, and then… got happily buzzed 😳 (so buzzed I tipped $5 on an $8 Uber ride… still cracks me up thinking about it 😂). Day 2: Visited Oak Alley Plantation, touched an alligator 🐊 (soft and bouncy like rubber!), ate fresh oysters 🦪 (thanks 🐮 for the treat!), tried New Orleans fried chicken (yum!), and that salty red sauce with rice (still can’t remember its name 😅). Also had beignets for brunch — because sugar and fat can never taste bad! Everything that’s happened since coming to the U.S. feels so surreal — I’m constantly marveling inside. 110 days in, and studying, working, living, loving — everything has smoothly entered my world step by step. Listening to music in the car, watching the scenery shift outside, I often drift into my own little world, just thinking and reflecting… Feels like I’ve chosen well at every crossroad to shape this beautiful story. Right now, I’m curled up in bed with a cold + my period, heavy rain pouring outside, with a presentation tomorrow… and a slight travel hangover. But I can honestly say this was the most peaceful trip I’ve ever had — no matter what happened, I felt completely at ease. 💕 #GradSchoolUSA #StudyAbroad #NewOrleans #TravelUSA #MyStudyAbroadStory #HolidayVibes #StudyInUSA #LifeInUSA #AmericanThanksgiving
