Spicy Adventure in The Hague – the Spiciest Dish in the Netherlands!

A friend took me to an Indonesian restaurant in The Hague. Okay, maybe the title’s a bit exaggerated, but for someone who can't handle spice like me, this place was 🔥 seriously spicy! Ordering Guide: If you’re a spice lover, you HAVE to try No. 1 on the menu, NASI PADANG KOMPLIT! 🌶️🔥 No. 1 has an extra chili sauce compared to No. 2, and it's insanely spicy! Both No. 1 and No. 2 feature spicy braised beef, but No. 1 is the ultimate challenge. If you’re not a fan of spicy food, opt for No. 5, 6, or 7. These are coconut-braised chicken, grilled chicken, and fried chicken, respectively. Personally, I found the grilled chicken pretty average, but the coconut-braised chicken thigh was tender and delicious! 🍗🥥 Another must-try is the lamb skewers, SATE KAMBING! 🐑🔥 They have an amazing smoky flavor from the charcoal grilling. Other recommendations include the TERONG BALADO (spicy eggplant with chili sauce) and OTAK-OTAK (banana leaf-wrapped fish cakes) – these aren’t overly spicy but definitely unique and worth a try! 🍆🍃🐟 #LifeInTheNetherlands #Netherlands #RestaurantReviews #DutchFood #Europe #TheHague
