Sri lanka trip diary:Day2 and Day 3
✨Anuradhapura The ancient capital and a sacred Buddhist site of Sri Lanka, it was established in the 5th century BC and served as the capital of the Sinhalese dynasty from the 3rd century BC to the 10th century AD, once a flourishing city in history. ✨Pidurangala Rock A massive rock located on a hillside 500 meters opposite Sigiriya Lion Rock. The entrance fee is 1000 rupees, and it can be considered an alternative to Lion Rock. It offers a great spot to capture the entire view of Lion Rock and is an excellent place to watch the sunset. The final stretch of the path consists of large boulders with no trails or steps, requiring visitors to climb using their hands and feet. 🌟Sigiriya Lion Rock An aerial palace that took 18 years to construct on a 200-meter high orange-red rock, it is acclaimed as the eighth wonder of the world. Sigiriya Lion Rock is one of the vertices of Sri Lanka's "Cultural Triangle" and is also one of the world-class precious heritages protected by UNESCO. 🌟Polonnaruwa The Royal Palace in Polonnaruwa, the palace of King Parakramabahu I, was 31 meters long and 13 meters wide. It is said to have once been a seven-story building with more than 50 rooms, supported by 36 pillars of different shapes for an audience hall, banquet hall, and other ancillary rooms. Now only the three-story walls and a short flight of stairs leading upstairs remain. #Polonnaruwa#Anuradhapura#Polonnaruwa#Sigiriya#Pidurangala Rock#Sri lanka#trip diary#travel guide
