St. Louis is Surprisingly Fun!

Unforgettable Attractions 1️⃣ Gateway Arch The smallest U.S. national park, but the tallest arch in the world! Buy a ticket to ride the cramped elevator up (awkwardly peer through tiny windows), or just snap photos outside and explore the museum about its construction. 2️⃣ Washington University in St. Louis (WUSTL) The school that rejected me 😅. Visited during break—empty but stunning campus. I love pretending to be a student wherever I travel! 3️⃣ Saint Louis Art Museum St. Louis was once a top U.S. city, so its art collection is impressive: Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, plus Chinese artifacts. Could easily spend a day here. Set in Forest Park (site of the 1904 World’s Fair), surrounded by lush scenery. 4️⃣ Anheuser-Busch Brewery Home of Budweiser! Tour the production line, learn its history, sip samples, and get a free beer at the end. 5️⃣ Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis Breathtaking—photos don’t do justice to its mosaic-covered walls and dome (largest in the world). Quiet and reverent, with scattered worshippers. 6️⃣ National Blues Museum Small but decent; covers blues’ impact on modern music. Interactive exhibits (beat-making, lyric-writing). Skip if short on time. 7️⃣ Cahokia Mounds A UNESCO site, but the museum was closed (just saw grassy mounds). Climb one for a skyline view! 🍦 Bonus: Ted Drewes Frozen Custard on Route 66—packed but fast lines. A $1 vanilla scoop? Worth it. Final Thoughts: St. Louis = underrated charm! From world-class art to quirky history, it’s a blast. #Travel #USA #StLouis #HiddenGems #ArchCity #CultureTrip
