Stepping into the historic Southern city of New Orleans…
Finally got around to updating—this procrastinator is back! ✨ For our wedding anniversary this year, we chose this incredibly charming Southern city. We didn’t rent a car, and stayed at the Hyatt—which I totally recommend! It’s located in the business district, just about a 15-minute walk to the French Quarter. The front desk was super nice and even upgraded us to a corner room! The moment the Superdome lit up against the sunset…it was absolutely stunning 😍 Our stay included complimentary breakfast—a buffet style. Even though we signed a check at the time, it wasn’t charged when we checked out. The hotel also has these cool glass elevators with a view. Enjoying breakfast while watching them go up and down was so relaxing 🛗☀️ Our itinerary was pretty simple: exploring the French Quarter and taking a cruise on the Mississippi River! 🚢 We also tried several restaurants—the seafood overall was delicious, but heads up: avoid the chargrilled oysters…way too salty! 😅 One local tip: Don’t eat in the French Quarter! A friendly local told us nobody who lives here actually dines there 😂 #NewOrleans #WanderingSeries #CasualPost #Hyatt #NolaVibes #SouthernCharm #AnniversaryTrip
