Stockholm City Walk 💙
Stockholm is not what I imagined—it’s a city made up of countless small and large islands. The colorful yet neatly arranged houses in the Old Town blend surprisingly well with the modern architectural styles elsewhere. The urban planning is simple and tidy: coffee shops are everywhere, flocks of seagulls fill the sky, and groups of people sit by the water chatting or daydreaming—all adding a quiet, fairytale-like beauty to the city 🕊️. Some Post-Trip Remarks (Food & Fun) ▫️ Stockholm is cleaner than Paris, and there are fewer unruly people. ▫️ The 🦐 at the food market is delicious! It was my first time trying such big crayfish—they’re pre-marinated with fennel, so they’re super savory and salty. 📍 Hötorgshallen ▫️ There’s a 30+-year-old seafood restaurant at the food market famous for fish soup: tomato broth with fish, mussels, shrimp, and veggies. It’s incredibly tasty and perfect for Chinese palates 👍. But the salmon cake is a bit greasy—not recommended. 📍 Restaurang Kajsas Fisk ▫️ Swedish meatballs are just so-so—no better than IKEA’s. 📍 Slingerbulten ▫️ Reindeer meat tastes similar to beef but is a bit gamey. The official recommendation is medium-rare (5 doneness). 📍 Slingerbulten ▫️ The gelato portions here look bigger than in France or Italy. 📍 Kennys Gelato Sergelterrassen ▫️ Tried Machi Machi—two drinks cost around 11 euros, cheaper than in France. 📍 Hötorgshallen ▫️ Also had a Thai massage—about 60 euros per hour, which also seems cheaper than in Paris. The best part: you can book by phone the same day! 📍 Samruai Thaimassage ▫️ Taxis are easy to hail downtown but not super convenient—many pedestrian areas are off-limits to cars. ▫️ Kardemumma bulle (cardamom bun) is amazing! Buy it! 📍 Thelins konditori ▫️ Fika = a coffee and cake break (the Swedish way to unwind ☕). ▫️ Chinese restaurant Panda is safe and delicious—I ate there two days in a row 😋. #Travel #TravelDiary #CityWalk #Stockholm #SwedenTravel #ParisDaily #City_Walk #TravelShare
