Today, my wife and I had the opportunity to dine at Slingerbulten. For starters, we decided to try the Burrata and Tomato fondue, which we found enjoyable but on the smaller side. As our main course, we both ordered the Swedish meatballs, which were quite satisfying. The service we received was decent; it was prompt and somewhat attentive. Despite there being only two occupied tables in the restaurant, the waiter chose to seat us right next to a loud group of girls. This decision seemed rather unfortunate, considering we were a couple, and it somewhat affected the overall atmosphere. Unfortunately, the bill turned out to be higher than expected, totaling 830 kr, including 2 beers and a 10% tip. All in all, the food and service were good, but we felt that the overall value was lacking.

We had lunch at a cozy restaurant in Stockholm’s Old Town and were pleasantly surprised by their business lunch menu. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, with a true Scandinavian feel. The starter buffet with crispbread, beans, vegetables and creamy butter was simple yet tasty, a nice way to begin the meal. For the main course, I had fish with baby potatoes and vegetables in a light tomato-based sauce — fresh, healthy, and very satisfying. The portion size was just right, leaving room for dessert or coffee afterwards. Service was quick and friendly, and the whole experience felt relaxed and unhurried — perfect for a midday break while exploring the city. The lunch menu is a great value for money, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re visiting Gamla Stan.

I have been here several times but my last visit was terrible. I had the experience of the staff being great (and we left a 5 star review before) but this time they were rude and inattentive. I had booked 2 weeks in advance, announced that I had a booking and someone told me that it was okay to seat outside. Then, we got the menus and 15 minutes later, the girls asked each other if anyone had spoken to us, finally one of them came by, but didn’t offer us any of the treatment anyone else was getting, she didn’t asked anything, had any sort of conversation or offered any of the things everyone else was being offered. I then went again and told them that we weren’t just seating there and had a booking. They reacted with a “oh no worries!” As if it was my fault? But even then they kept on ignoring our table for the rest of the night, no one came to get our plates after we were done, offered any more drinks or dessert and when I went to pay, the girl that was “our waitress” was just like “oh yeah, no we’re very nice, good you liked the food”. I have never felt more ignored and left out before at any restaurant. My praises are totally gone, I will also stop recommending this place to every person that asked me where to eat while...

Really the best Köttbullar I had in Stockholm and I tried around 7 restaurants so far. The only thing that annoyed me was, that we reserved for Valentines Day beforehand and no one informed us before arrival, that we would be forced to buy a 2 course menu for 499 SEK (!) without any drink. if I would've just eaten in the regular menu, what I ate on that day, it would've been approx 370 SEK so they basically scammed me here as I overpaid almost 130 SEK, which is a lot of money! This is why I deduct 1 star.

The food was really good, but the lack of communication is terrible. Prices are already pretty high as it is in Gamla Stan. I know for a fact, that it was not a mistake they made only with us. I saw 2 other couples arriving and wondering about the menu option and 1 of them leaving as they were annoyed with not being informed. I will consider returning but not for...

I was expecting Swedish traditional foods, and was very disappointed with the menu ( a friend made the booking). Longing from some flavour of my childhood, I was dismayed to first be served a toast Skagen that was like a large blob of mayonnaise and two pieces of toast in the side. Any desire to eat this dish ever again was taken away from me. After that I had meatballs, what could go wrong? I am sure, and so was my fried, that there was liver in the meatballs!! The waitress said not. But if you have followed any of my previous reviews, you will know this is the first time ever I sent food back. My friends had the schnitzel, SOS herring starter, baked cauliflower and they did enjoy there food. The staff was helpful and the surroundings a bit cramped but respectable.

I personally wonder if this is a tourist trap, I would not recommend this...
