Such a unique Italian restaurant!
Feeling inexplicably excited about not having to work tomorrow since it’s Monday, starting the happy life of an unemployed wanderer👉🏻 Various dinner dates incoming 🍽️ Appetizer Zuppetta Di Pesce 🦞 The sauce is a lobster bisque sauce made with white wine and tomatoes; this sauce is rich and delicious, the seafood is fresh with no fishy taste, very appetizing👍 🍝 Spaghetti Blu Mare This spaghetti has a very unique flavor, my first time trying this kind of taste, and it even comes with caviar. The pasta is chewy, and the shrimp is bouncy; it’s a must-try. 🐟 For the main course, I chose a daily special black cod, which isn’t on the menu, so I don’t remember the sauce. The 8oz fish portion is quite generous. This fish is very fresh, with no taste of frozen water. The potatoes on the side are good, and they even used cabbage as a side, roasting it to the taste of brussels sprouts. I personally love brussels sprouts, so I found this dish very delicious. The restaurant updates a special menu of Italian regional dishes on the first Tuesday of every month. This month is Abruzzo, and we chose Cif E Ciaf, mainly to try the polenta that we haven’t had before. Turns out soft polenta is just corn porridge😂 It tastes similar to millet corn porridge, just not as soft. This is rougher than mashed potatoes. The bell pepper flavor in this dish is very strong, and the pork is stewed very tender, but the taste didn’t wow me. It was purely for trying something new, not bad, but not especially delicious either. Overall, my impression of this place is like a Cantonese restaurant inside an Italian restaurant. Unlike many foreign restaurants that have heavy flavors, the chef here doesn’t overdo it with salt, allowing me to taste more of the ingredients themselves and the flavors of the spices. I’ll definitely come back to this place. Next time, I want to try the pizza and the new special menu items. Plus, there’s live music on Thursday nights, perfect for drinking🥰 #RestaurantIWouldVisitAgain #HiddenGemRestaurantShare #ItalianCuisine #WeeklyFoodCheckIn #TorontoFood #TorontoFoodExploration #TorontoLife #AtmosphericRestaurant #VaughanFood #Vaughan
