Such a Wonderful Visit!! 🌴

I don't understand how anyone could dislike this hotel! The Hale Koa is lush, leafy, and shaded (thanks to its location next to Ft. DeRussy Park), features two pools (one large family-friendly pool and one adults-only pool), has an outstanding staff, and offers spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean 🌊. Thanks to the hotel's contract, beach rentals are a steal—just $35 for 2 chairs and 1 umbrella for 4 hours! 🏖️ We stayed on the 10th floor of the Maile Tower with a partial ocean view. Each morning, we woke up to clouds hovering over the mountains behind us and the sea gleaming a stunning blue all day long 🏞️. Bibas restaurant was okay, but our server wasn't the friendliest (he was the only one we encountered in 10 days who wasn't warm). The pool bar served great drinks for the kids and some amazing non-alcoholic piña coladas 🍹. The Exchange inside the hotel is truly a highlight! They have everything from sandwiches to ice cream 🍦. We bought clothes, jewelry, souvenirs, Hawaiian coffee, chocolates, and more—all at much lower prices than elsewhere. Our room felt a bit dated, but I've seen worse rooms in more expensive hotels. Though it had carpet, my kids actually loved it since they could walk comfortably after being on the sandy beach and concrete around the pool. We enjoyed our stay so much that we're already planning our next trip!!! ✈️❤️ #HaleKoa #Waikiki #BestValue #FamilyVacation #MilitaryResort #PoolTime #BeachLife #AffordableLuxury #AlreadyPlanningReturn #AlohaSpirit
