Summer in the UK Must-Have: Strawberry Picking 🍓

📍 Birmingham Surroundings Manor Farm Fruits, Tamworth, B78 3DF Booking online is cheaper than buying on-site, at just £2.5 per person. A reservation is recommended, and even if you arrive a bit late, it’s not a problem. 📅 Once inside, there’s no time limit—you can stay as long as you like. 🕒 Signs say you can’t eat while picking, but everyone indulges a bit before heading out, haha. 😄 The farm is divided into different sections for strawberries, blueberries, mulberries, and various other berries. There’s even a sunflower field that’s incredibly beautiful and perfect for photos. 🌻 Initially, we picked strawberries in the area right by the entrance (P2), but the quality wasn’t great. Later, we walked down the hill to the bottom, where the tents are (P5), and found the strawberries to be much larger and sweeter. Check out the comparison of the two baskets (P1). Before entering, you can choose between two sizes of baskets. Once you’ve picked your strawberries, you can weigh them and take them home. They’re £7.5 per kilo, but we paid £6 per kilo because the staff had set it that way. 🍓 There’s a cafe on-site selling food, including charcoal-grilled burgers with potato cakes inside—a combination I really enjoyed! 🍔 They also sell local farm ice cream, and I highly recommend the vanilla and lemon meringue flavors! 🍦 Summer is the perfect time to enjoy all-you-can-eat berries.
