Summer is back in full swing! 🧢☀️

A last-minute plan, a spontaneous day trip, and an epic round-trip adventure — that’s how we do it! Asheville downtown truly lives up to its reputation as one of the Top 10 Travel Destinations in the U.S. 🏙️✨ Yes, you might see a few homeless folks, but the real stars are the buskers 🎸🎶—bringing so much soul and energy to the streets! The vibe is both refined and laid-back — a unique mix that just works 😄. For lunch, we tried Isa’s French Bistro 🥖🍷—while it didn’t fully satisfy my Chinese stomach, the ambiance, service, and presentation were absolutely 💯! Still totally worth a visit 😉. Then came the highlight — driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, one of America’s most scenic roads 🚗💨. At the big curve, the view suddenly opens up… and wow, it took my breath away! 🏞️ Haven’t seen mountains like this in a while — got a little too excited haha! 📲 Pro tip: Download offline maps on Google ahead of time! We navigated to Linn Cove Viaduct — along the way, there are plenty of overlooks where you can pull over, hop out, and take short walks. Pure joy!! Just a minute further, Rough Ridge Lookout offers a ~half-mile hike with absolutely stunning views. A must-do! 🥾💚 But the best part of the day was meeting this incredible family 👨👩👧👦💖. They were so kind and encouraging — sharing their perspectives and suggestions with us. The sister is an English teacher, her husband teaches music, and their parents drove all the way from Kentucky to join this road trip. How American is that? 🚗🇺🇸 They once lived in Singapore for four years and even tried speaking Mandarin with us — super adorable! 🥰 From a simple How are you?” → “I’m good!”, I’m growing to love these cultural collisions.
