Sunset at the Baltic Sea is Magnificent|🇩🇪 Rostock
My original reason for visiting Rostock was seafood platter + ocean views. 1️⃣ Seafood Platter 🦞 The most famous spot is Borwin—their platter costs €54, and yes, I finished it alone (ouch, my wallet). 🍽️ Includes: 1 lobster tail 🦞 2 giant scallops 2 large prawns 🦐 1 oyster 🦪 Octopus 2 small pieces of salmon sashimi 🍣 (Almost everything is butter-baked except the sashimi.) Verdict: The lobster tail was bouncy, sweet, and buttery with a hint of salt. The scallops were meaty and rich. Recommendation: Skip the platter—just order the lobster & scallops separately! 2️⃣ Ocean Views 🌊 I arrived in Rostock at 9 PM—just in time for the 9:30 PM sunset. When the weather’s nice, the sea is unbelievably blue. The waves create natural white noise, clearing all the junk in my brain. I did "pointless" things—throwing rocks, playing with sand, reading. No anxiety, no distractions, no desires. Just sky, sea, and sand. Feeling the soft white sand, the rough pebbles underfoot, and every unique wave. I walked barefoot from one end of the beach to the other, slowly, for over an hour. (Yes, it hurt sometimes, but I refused to wear sandals. 😅) Pro Tips: Go after 5 PM (less sunburn risk). Must-haves: sunglasses, sunscreen, a mat/plastic bag, snacks, drinks, and maybe a book. Just chill under the sun and wait for the epic sunset show. 🌅 #OrangeSunset #SoloBeachTrip #RomanticSunset #EuropeTravel #BerlinDayTrips #Rostock ✨
