Super Delicious Japanese Tonkatsu in Paris at Tonkatsu Tombo
When the weather gets cold, I just crave these fried goodies đ Met up with friends for this Japanese tonkatsu restaurant. It was busy during meal times and filled up quickly. Three of us ordered a 46 euro double set meal + an 18 euro filet tonkatsu. âšThe double set meal had quite a lot in it: one pork cutlet + one chicken cutlet + two fried shrimps + two croquettes + two small vegetable salads + two bowls of white rice + two small bowls of udon soup (just a few noodles, mostly soup) + two desserts. So, two people could get pretty full. The chicken cutlet was juicier and more tender than the pork, the fried shrimp and croquettes were super delicious, and the dessert with yuzu ice cream was also nice, very refreshing. âšThe filet tonkatsu is also a fried pork cutlet, but itâs from a different cut than the one in the set (escalope de porc). This one is more like pork neck meat, so itâs tenderer than the pork in the set. Personally, I prefer the filet tonkatsu. All their fried items come with a sauce thatâs hard to describe. Itâs a bit like BBQ but saltier. Iâm not too fond of their sauce personally đ Itâs located near Monparnasse. #ParisTonkatsu #ParisJapanese #ParisJapaneseCuisine #ParisJapaneseRestaurant #ParisFriedChicken #JapaneseTonkatsu #ParisFood #FriedPorkCutlet #PorkCutletRice #ParisFriedChickenCutlet
