π Supermarket Guide to Boise, Idaho π₯πΊπΈ
If you find yourself in beautiful-but-sometimes-too-quiet Idaho, hereβs where to shop and eat! Albertsons ποΈ My go-to for pre-cut fruits, especially yellow cantaloupe ππ Hot deli section is a hidden gem! Try the BBQ-flavored self-serve fried chicken (the dark brown one) β highly recommended! They also have original and sour flavors, but those are just okay.In the beef section: if you see a label that says β (yep, in Chinese!), GRAB IT π₯©π. Itβs super tender and hard to mess up! Whole Foods π₯¬ An organic supermarket, but honestlyβ¦ Albertsons has most of the same stuff. Not much to add β itβs Whole Foods! π Trader Joeβs 𧑠Where I spent the most money! Almost nothing is a miss here. Their house-brand wine is only around $3 π·, and their beauty products (like hand cream and hair oil) are affordable and work great! πββοΈπ« Highly recommend their hair oil β a lifesaver in dry U.S. air! Feels almost Asian-owned β so many items suit Asian tastes! Milk, eggs, and tofu are cheaper here than elsewhere. Their coffee β has a slight caramel note β delicious and budget-friendly. I basically shopped and drank my way through TJβs every week π Shun Fat Supermarket π₯’ Your go-to Asian market! Find everything from instant noodles π, pork floss, Yi Mei pancake wraps, to lotus root, bamboo shoots, and other Asian veggies π₯¦ Lots of Korean and Chinese sauces, spices, and snacks ππ Prices are higher than back home, but still affordable. Perfect for when youβre feeling homesick! Happy shopping and may you discover lots of goodies to make life abroad joyful! π #Boise #Idaho #SupermarketHaul #TraderJoesHaul #AsianSupermarket #ExpatLife #GroceryHaul #ShopLikeALocal
