Surabaya Food Recommendations! Eat Before Climbing Bromo!

Today, I'm recommending a restaurant in Surabaya that's worth a visit! 📍 Layar Seafood & Grilled Fish 🙋🏻‍♀️ Reasons to recommend: 1️⃣ Great ambiance. The restaurant is huge and decorated very elegantly. It's easy to take beautiful photos and it gives a feeling of grace. It's one of the top restaurants in Surabaya, with fresh flowers and murals everywhere, a fountain at the entrance, and all the tables and chairs are made of wood. 2️⃣ Delicious food. I haven't had good food in Indonesia for these days, and this place serves very tasty local dishes, not just food for tourists. 3️⃣ Affordable. Two people ordered five dishes and three drinks for only 330, which is actually expensive because of the crab, which was 127 (weighed by weight), and the other four dishes and drinks were only 200. It's really cheap! All the dishes are substantial! 🍽️ Recommended dishes: 1️⃣ Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp: A must-order! The shrimp are huge, very fresh, and cooked in a避风塘 style with lots of breadcrumbs, crispy, sweet but not too sweet! 2️⃣ Chicken Fried Rice: I almost finished a bowl by myself, can you believe it? The portion is generous, and it's Southeast Asian fried rice that suits Chinese taste buds! It's incredibly delicious. 3️⃣ Pumpkin Shoots: You must have some vegetables! They're a great way to cleanse your palate, and they're refreshing to eat. 4️⃣ Drinks: I don't know the exact name, but they're incredibly delicious, savory, and have cheese. See the white one in picture twelve. 🧐 Not recommended: 🦀 Black Pepper Crab: 😅 Although it's the signature dish, we thought it was just average. It's a bit sweet, the black pepper sauce is rich, and it has a unique flavor, but the crab is very fresh. 🐚 Flower Snails: I thought the taste was average, and the meat was a bit tough, but they're really cheap! (These are all personal tastes.) After eating, climb Bromo at night.
