Sushi Kanesaka 🍣
Early in the morning, I asked the hotel to arrange a delicious Omakase meal. 🍃🌸 The renowned Sushi Saito is virtually impossible to book without connections. The hotel suggested trying this Michelin two-star restaurant instead. So, I followed the hotel's recommendation and visited Sushi Kanesaka in Ginza. 🍃🌸 Due to limited seating, I could only secure a spot for myself. I didn't mind dining alone anyway. Next to me were two American tourists, and we were all eagerly anticipating our meal. When we took out our phones to take photos, we were told that photography was not allowed, not even of the food or the chef. Ok fine, we put our phones away and waited quietly. Later, the two tourists completely ignored the rule and secretly took photos when the chef wasn't looking. 🍃🌸 We were a bit disappointed that we couldn't take photos, as traveling is all about documenting the food we've enjoyed. Our enthusiasm for the meal started to wane. To be honest, the ingredients were nothing particularly luxurious. 🍃🌸However, the chef and the staff provided decent service. At this price, I really think it's better to just have a regular sushi bento. I definitely won't be coming back. Regarding the pricing, most restaurants in Japan include tax in the price, and there's no tipping culture like in North America. 🍃🌸 But that day, they charged an additional 10% tax and 10% service fee. If you plan to visit, be aware of this. 📍 Sushi Kanesaka #TravelWithMe 🌟
