Sushi Sho vs. Yoshino: My Personal Take

Sushi Sho tops Yoshino in my book! 🌟 🌇 (No clickbait here!) I recently dined at both places within just two weeks, so I had a perfect opportunity to compare them. I’m not saying Yoshino is bad—it’s actually excellent! But if Sushi Sho is number one in my heart, Yoshino definitely holds the second spot. 🥢 🌟 Yoshino: Yoshino is the epitome of consistency. It’s the kind of place where every dish earns an A. The food is reliably delicious, with no misses. The only dish I found a bit underwhelming was the mochi, but even that left a lasting impression on some of my friends! 😂 While nothing was mind-blowing, the ability to deliver consistently great flavors is already better than 90% of restaurants. 🌟 🌟 Sushi Sho: Sushi Sho had a couple of dishes that I didn’t quite get—let’s call them minor misses. But the number of dishes that were truly spectacular far outweighed those minor hiccups. Even with 21 courses, which felt like a lot, I still wasn’t full as a girl. Haha! It was my first time doing omakase and adding extra courses. 🌇 The four additional dishes I ordered were hands down the best. I marked them with ❤️ because they’re the restaurant’s signature pieces. Although photography wasn’t allowed (which is such a pity!), every dish, from the appetizers to the sushi, was beautifully presented and incredibly creative. 🌇 At least half of the courses featured flavors and presentations I’ve never encountered in other omakase experiences. It was truly breathtaking! 😭 #NewYork #SushiSho #Yoshino #OmakaseExperience 🌇✨
