Swansea makes a striking first impression with its laidback vibe.
By 5 PM, the high street shops are already closing, and groups of local teens (mostly 16-17 year olds hanging out) dominate the streets. While waiting downtown, three kids asked me for "two quid to buy a pie" β then I spotted a dozen high schoolers play-fighting nearby. Their carefree teenage years are almost enviable... though their manners could use work (way more chaotic than Chinese teens!). After a Tesco run, I missed the last bus and had to walk 3km back to campus with heavy groceries β backbreaking! Public transport here can't compare to China's efficiency. π‘ Accommodation Perks β’ Suite-style dorm: Private bathroom + shared kitchen/dining space β’ Laundry & cooking facilities included β οΈ Pro Tip: Get a local SIM card β mobile data via roaming is painfully slow, and some areas have dead zones! #UKStudentLife #CultureShock#SwanseaDiaries #StudyAbroadStruggles#StudyAbroadUK #MyStudyAbroadVlog #SwanseaUniversity #InternationalStudentLife
