Sweden 🇸🇪 | Kiruna - Abisko: Aurora & Exploration Trip

Right before Christmas, Europe was hit hard by a major pandemic outbreak. My friends and I searched high and low for Schengen countries still open. Plus, December-January is one of the most active periods for auroras—so we booked our flights and headed straight to Kiruna, the Arctic Circle’s aurora town 🌌! 🚉 Kiruna Train Station Our first stop after arriving by train—where the Arctic adventure truly began. 🏠 Accommodation: STF Hotell & Vandrarhem Kiruna This campsite hotel was the only comfort after our tiring journey: Booking: Booked via Qunar (Where to Go) – 6 people, 3 standard rooms, 3 nights, total around CNY 6,800. (Prices on Ctrip were about CNY 100 higher per room.) Pro Tip: We didn’t book in advance—prices would be even better if you reserve early! Check-in: We arrived late; there was no receptionist, but we completed all procedures with staff guidance, picked up keys from a safe, and checked in smoothly #NorthernEurope #SwedenTravel #HotelRecommendation #IceHotel #KirunaSwedenIceHotelCheckIn
