Hotel pickup available β super convenient! 1οΈβ£ Morning Meet at hotel at 6:30 AM π‘ 2.5-hour drive to Charleston Upgraded to a mini-bus city tour (instead of horse carriage +$100 πΈ) β more comfortable and includes historical commentary by guide. Even snapped a photo of a horse carriage passing by! ππΈ 2οΈβ£ Downtown Exploration Dropped off near United States Custom House after 30-min drive 3 hours of free time π½ City Market: Not much to shop, but the colorful streets nearby are super photogenic β feels like the South of France! π Walked around, took lots of photos π· 3οΈβ£ Lunch Ate at O-Bar π½οΈ Ordered fried oysters with rice and fries β ~$30 Food was okay, ambiance quiet and nice Quick photo stop at the Pineapple Fountain π before heading back to the bus 4οΈβ£ Afternoon Visited Boone Hall Plantation ποΈ Guided tour inside the historic house Huge oak trees outside + small houses showcasing enslaved peopleβs history π Heard it was a filming location for Gone with the Wind! Returned to Myrtle Beach by 4 PM β day complete! β° β¨ Overall: I traveled solo β no other Asians on the bus, but it was a unique experience!
