Swiss National Museum | The Best Experience So Far
It's highly recommended; it's the best museum I've visited so far! ⭐ Architectural Design The perfect fusion of old and new architecture! Initially, I didn't plan to go in, thinking I'd just take a photo of the exterior. But the design was so captivating that I ended up buying a ticket on the spot. Admission Fee: 13 Swiss Francs ⭐ Exhibition Layout Many large museums have complex layouts that increase the difficulty of viewing but also add to the fun, encouraging repeat visits, like the Louvre or the Forbidden City. It's quite challenging for medium-sized museums to be simple, efficient, and still interesting. The Swiss National Museum's layout is incredibly clear, taking you from the old building, up and down, to the new building, and back again! Of course, if you want to go to the attic, you'll find they also have a "spin-off" exhibition, and I didn't see any additional paid exhibitions throughout. Key Point: Interactive Content 👍👍👍 This aspect might deserve more than five thumbs up. Their exhibition design and interactive experience could be used as a teaching case in university curation programs. The variety of forms is interesting and suitable for all ages, from children to the elderly. ⭐ To understand what locals wore at a certain time, they used not only mannequins but also a combination of real and virtual descriptions in their displays, making it clearer where certain accessories were worn. ⭐ Understanding local clothing isn't just about looking at the attire; you can also press a button under the clothes to start a conversation between the two characters, giving you more background stories. Finally, it's located just north of Zurich Main Station, and no reservation is needed. #Switzerland #Zurich #SlowTravel #CityStroll
