1️⃣ The Langham, Gold Coast 💎 Best stay of the trip! Lobby was meh, but the room was stunning—huge bathroom, massive balcony (view in pic 1 👆), just 100m to the beach! Evening walks by the shore were perfect (though stay alert at night). Diptyque toiletries 🧴—pure luxury! Rating: 9.5/10 🌟 2️⃣ InterContinental Sydney 🏙️ Prime location: Opposite Sydney Museum (not AU Museum—don’t mix them up!), short walk to Opera House & Botanical Gardens. Room downside: Tiny bathroom (expected for CBD). BYREDO amenities 🌹—upscale touch. Breakfast: Very Western-heavy, slight queue (~10 mins) at 8:30am. But hey—Campos coffee saved the day! ☕ Rating: 8/10 ⭐ 3️⃣ Crystalbrook Riley, Cairns 🏝️ Cairns hotels = underwhelming, so this was the "best" option. 😅 Annoyances: Had to fetch water downstairs (and it tasted bad). Pool was nice, but UV rays were brutal—could only swim briefly. ☀️ (Bonus: free sunscreen in lobby!) Location perks: 10-min walk to夜市 & Coles. Next to Hilton (tour meet-ups there—super convenient!). Rating: 6.5/10 🏊 Final Thoughts: Gold Coast Langham = 💯 (Beach + luxury!). Sydney IC = Great for tourists (but cramped).
