🚢 Take the Ferry to Suomenlinna and Enjoy the Sea Breeze 🌊
You can take a ferry from the Market Square in Helsinki to Suomenlinna. The island is very close to the mainland, and the ferry ride is only about 15 minutes. Suomenlinna is also part of Zone A, so if you have a day ticket that includes Zone A, you can use it directly. Since I was staying in Helsinki for a longer time, I bought a 7-day ticket. The island is not very large, and a day is enough to explore it. Be sure to check the ferry schedule so you can plan your arrival and departure times. I was fortunate to have a sunny day when I arrived at the island, with large white clouds hanging in the sky. The sun was shining brightly, and the sea and sky were both a highly saturated blue, putting me in a very pleasant mood. In the north of the island, there is a military school where people are still studying, and occasionally you can see people walking around in military uniforms. In the center, there is a small church (Kirkkopuisto) surrounded by a row of brightly colored wooden houses, which look very quaint and lovely. In comparison, I prefer the southern part of Suomenlinna, with its tunnels, remaining city walls, and fortresses. The red brick walls, bright blue sky, large white clouds, and blooming flowers make you feel as if you are in a scene from a Hayao Miyazaki animation. 🏰🌳What I liked the most was walking along the coastline, enjoying the sea breeze, and watching the cruise ships sail away into the distance. To my surprise, in June, Suomenlinna was filled with rapeseed flowers. Large patches of rapeseed flowers bloomed along the coastline, and I had never imagined that rapeseed flowers could grow by the sea and be so beautiful. If you come to Helsinki, be sure to take the ferry to Suomenlinna, enjoy the sea breeze, and spend a leisurely half-day here. 💙 Recommendation : 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 #Nordic #Helsinki #Suomenlinna #TravelGuide #FinlandTravel #Seaside #RapeseedFlowers #Island #Finland #Healing
