Take You to Eat, Drink & Have Fun | Kingston’s Hidden Gem Korean Resta
🥺 Reward yourself after midterms! 😌 With the recent temperature drop, I’ve been craving something spicy and hot—perfect for warming up 🥹🌶️. Let me take you to explore this amazing Korean restaurant in Kingston 🥺! 🤔 This spot isn’t in downtown, so it’s less crowded 🥰. The service is attentive and thoughtful! They serve free side dishes before your meal: marinated potatoes, kimchi, and (cold bean sprouts)—all delicious 🥺. Totally worth a visit 🤩! 📍 Burning Grill Korean Cuisine, 1399 Princess St, Kingston, ON K7M 3E9 (near Loblaws) 🦑 Pan-Fried Dakgalbi & Squid with Cheese | Korean sweet-spicy stir-fried chicken and squid, topped with a ring of melted cheese! It comes with rice cakes, cabbage, and onions. Wrap each bite with a thick layer of cheese 😌—the sweet-spicy flavor mixed with creamy cheese is so satisfying. Watching the pot bubble when it’s served is instantly appetizing 😋. This big pot is enough for two girls—the portions are huge! 🥩 Tangsuyuk | Their sweet and sour pork is number one in my Kingston book (personal opinion, but it’s really good)! The tenderloin is fried to a crispy crunch 😋, and the sauce isn’t too tart or sweet—perfect balance. Even when the sauce soaks in, the pork stays crispy. 🍢 Tteok Kkochi | Spicy Korean rice cake skewers. The rice cakes are grilled first, then coated in sweet-spicy sauce—tasty! But if you order the dakgalbi above, you can skip this since it already has rice cakes 🫢. 😍 Iron Plate Bulgogi | This beef is sweet with a hint of spice, plus rice cakes, onions 🧅, bell peppers 🫑, and other veggies—super flavorful! They give lots of beef, and it tastes authentic. But it can get after a few bites 🫢—I still prefer the dakgalbi more 👍. 🤤 Kimmari | Fried seaweed rolls stuffed with glass noodles. I’d definitely recommend this over the rice cake skewers! It’s a simple Korean snack, but it’s so homey and delicious—who gets it? 🥹 Freshly fried, the seaweed wrap is crispy, and the texture and flavor are spot on. Writing this has made me crave it all over again—let’s go eat there soon 🤤! That’s it for today’s food tour.
