Taking a Break from PhD to Explore Places Without Ceilings! 🌲⛰️😌

📍 Jacques-Cartier National Park (Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier) Even though summer isn't fully here yet, the park is already incredibly beautiful! 🤩 The shimmering azure lakes and streams along the way are truly therapeutic. ✨ There are numerous trails to choose from in the park, but not all are open at the moment. We opted for the Les Coulees hiking trail (see photo 7). 🏞️ The time estimate was around 3.5 hours, and it lived up to it—exhausting on the way up but a breeze on the way down. Just follow the signs, and you'll make it! 🌲 (For transportation, you can book a bus with Quatre Natures in advance. If you're taking an Uber or driving, I recommend navigating directly to the visitors centre because there's a long stretch from the park entrance (where you scan your ticket QR code) to the actual starting point of the hike! 🚶‍♀️🌍 You can grab a map right at the visitors centre counter and ask the staff for trail recommendations too. 😊 Also, there's absolutely NO CELL SERVICE from the moment you enter the park! Remember to download offline maps in advance. If you really need the internet, the visitors centre has Wi-Fi. 😇 #Quebec #AroundQuebec #Hiking #ExploringPlacesWithoutCeilings 🏞️🚶‍♀️
