Taste of Dayton, OH | Discovered Two Amazing Restaurants!
Wandering and eating in Dayton, I unexpectedly unlocked two "hometown flavors" one after another, and my happiness was off the charts💥 ① Kungfu Noodle - A Bite Back to Lanzhou! As soon as I opened the door, I smelled the rich aroma of beef bone soup. I ordered the classic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, and I was amazed as soon as it was served🍜 The noodles were evenly thick, chewy and springy, with a hint of wheat fragrance when bitten; the soup was milky white and mellow, full of the freshness of beef bones without any artificial taste; paired with a few slices of moderately thick sauced beef, crispy radishes and chili oil, even my friend from Lanzhou exclaimed, "Authentic! This is the taste right outside my home"👍 After eating, I couldn't help but add a tea egg—the egg white soaked in soup was super flavorful, making this lunch a hit! ② Chaykhana N1 Uzbek Cuisine - Uzbek Flavor + Xinjiang Soul! I originally wanted to try Uzbek food, but was impressed by the "hidden gems"! The freshly baked samsa (baked lamb dumplings) had a golden and crispy outer skin, and it oozed juice as soon as I bit into it. The lamb filling was tender and not gamy, mixed with the sweetness of onions, and I couldn't stop eating one after another🥟 The lamb shaomai (steamed dumplings) was even more amazing—thin as paper, you could see the full lamb filling when you bit into it. The soup was so rich that you had to sip it carefully. Paired with vinegar and chili, it was so fresh that I stamped my feet! There were also grilled lamb skewers sizzling with oil, with firm meat and authentic seasoning, no less than the level of Xinjiang night markets. After eating, I directly added this restaurant to my "unlimited repurchase list"📝 #OhioFood #AmericanChineseFood #DaytonFoodie #DaytonEats #ColumbusArea #OSUEatingGuide #SamsaIsTheBest #XinjiangFoodInUSA #shotoniPhone #FoodRecording
