Texas | 2 Days in San Antonio – I Want to Move Here!
I spent a memorable long weekend in Texas at the end of May and stayed in San Antonio for two days. What a lovely experience! 1️⃣ River Walk Perfect for a stroll both in the morning and evening 🌅. Lots of unique restaurants along the banks. The boat tour costs around $10 per person—guides share fun stories, and boats leave once full. Don’t forget sunscreen—you’ll need it anywhere you sit! 2️⃣ Market Square A vibrant Mexican-style street with colorful shops and stalls. Many stores look similar, but it’s great for photos 📸. We just took a quick walk due to the heat! 3️⃣ Japanese Tea Garden Free entry! Closes at 5 PM. 🎋 You’ll find koi fish in the ponds and a small waterfall at the end—very photogenic. Avoid going at midday; it gets really sunny. 4️⃣ Pearl Brewery A trendy area with beautifully designed cafes and restaurants—super Instagrammable! There’s also a lawn and a fountain where kids love to play 💦. 5️⃣ San Fernando Cathedral Don’t miss the free light projection show! 🎵 It runs from 9 PM to 10 PM on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, every half hour. It tells the history of San Antonio with music and visuals—quite impressive! 6️⃣ Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch 🐾 A drive-thru + walk-thru safari. Tickets sold on-site: adults $28.99. Feed bags are $4.65—official advice is to place food on the ground (not hand-feed). 🐾 The animals look clean, well-fed, and relaxed—very elegant! 🐾 Go early! We entered at 11 AM, and many animals were already napping in the shade 😴. 7️⃣ Natural Bridge Caverns 🕳️ Book online in advance for better prices! The Discovery Tour (~$32/person) is the most popular. Arrive 30 mins early. 🕳️ The tour covers 0.75 miles, 180 ft underground—humid but not cold. It takes about 1 hour with guided stops. Truly a marvel of nature! ❤️ Then we left San Antonio for Houston… ready to eat some amazing food! 🍴 #Travel #SanAntonio #SummerVibes #RiverWalk #Texas #LongWeekendGetaway
