Just spent a long weekend in the freedom-filled state of Texas! 🤠 Due to limited time, we only explored San Antonio + Dallas. Here are some highly recommended food spots and activities! 🏨 ACCOMMODATION San Antonio: Hyatt Regency Riverwalk 📍 Right on the riverfront – steps away from the River Walk! 🚶 Walking distance to The Alamo, Market Square, and other major attractions – super convenient. ✨ The hotel itself is beautiful, with a relaxed and comfortable vibe. 🚗 Pro Tip: SA’s attractions are very walkable. Driving can be a parking nightmare, so skip the rental car! Dallas: Hyatt Regency Dallas 🌆 The highlight? Reunion Tower is inside the hotel! 💫 Want a city skyline view? Just take the elevator – no travel needed. 📍 Perfect downtown location – easy access to restaurants and attractions. 🍽️ FOOD & DRINKS 🍴 San Antonio:🥩 InterStellar BBQ ⭐ Michellin-starred BBQ (actually located in Austin) 😱 The line was insane – we waited 2 hours under the blazing sun… 🍖 By the time we ordered, the famous brisket was sold out. 🔸 Tried pork belly and ribs – decent, but not worth the crazy wait. 🍜 Mian Noodle Saw "Shanxi" on the menu and immediately rushed in! The Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles were authentic & delicious. 🥙 The roujiamo (pork burger) was incredibly flavorful – a must-try! 🍸 Boudro’s on the Riverwalk💖 Perfect riverside dining spot – great for dates or casual drinks. 📸 Ambiance and lighting are top-notch – very Instagrammable. 🍽 Every dish we ordered was a hit – we finished it all! 🍴 Dallas:🍲 Haidilao Hot Pot 🍅 That familiar tomato broth hit all the right spots – so nostalgic! 😭 Felt like being back in China – ended up grabbing a bunch of free snacks on the way out. ❤ A comforting taste of home for all international students! 🥗 The Henry🥣 If you're looking for good "white people food," this is the spot! 🍓 Strawberry & Watermelon Salad – sounds weird, but surprisingly refreshing! 🌿 Great vibe, healthy options, and a beautiful setting. 🛼 ACTIVITIES 🌵 San Antonio:The attractions are super compact – you can hit almost everything in one day if you're a speed-traveler! ✅ The Alamo is a must-see for history buffs. ✅ Old San Juan (likely referring to La Villita or King William District) is super photogenic. ☀ Only downside: The heat can be brutal for walking around outside. 🏙 Dallas:Our stay was short, so we only explored downtown. 🎯 Activate – a super fun indoor active game center! 👫 Great for friends, couples, or families – highly interactive and engaging. ✅ FINAL TIPS🚶 Walk or use rideshare in SA – parking is a hassle. 📸 Don’t forget your camera – both cities are super photogenic! 🌮 Eat, explore, and enjoy the chill Texas vibes!
