We stayed at two great spots, each with its own charm: 7 Bluff Cabin (near Garner State Park) ・Highlights: A real cabin experience nestled in the woods with great privacy! Bonfire under the stars at night 🌌🔥, waking up to birdsong in the morning 🐦☀️. The kids were thrilled! ・Tip: Bring your own ingredients to cook hot pot in the kitchen. You can also gather pecans, feed deer, and go boating 🛶🌰. The Maverick Suite (on River Walk) ・Highlights: Two bedrooms + kitchen — perfect for families! Parents and kids have their own space 🧒👨👩. The kitchen is handy for warming milk or making simple meals, saving money and time 💸🍳. ・Location is super convenient. Parking is in a nearby public lot ($10/day, just a block away) — easy access to attractions 🚗📍. 🍽️ Food Highlights Since we brought hot pot ingredients, we only ate out twice. We tried the popular bakery — La Panederia: ・Lobster Roll: Soft, buttery bread packed with lobster and well-seasoned sauce — not greasy at all! 🦞🥖 ・Strawberry Croissant: A kid favorite! Flaky layers with sweet-tart strawberries and cream 🍓🥐. ・Coffee was great too ☕✨ 🏞️ Garner State Park ・Book tickets online in advance 🎫. ・Fall foliage is stunning 🍂📸. Rent a boat near the boathouse — kayaks or canoes available. ・Frio River Boating: Crystal-clear water — perfect for a relaxing paddle with the family 🛶💧. ・Walnut Picking: Lots of walnut trees in the park — bring a bag and go “treasure hunting” with the kids 🌰👧👦. 🌈 The DoSeum Children’s Museum ・Kids loved it! Played for over 5 hours and didn’t want to leave — great for burning energy 🔋😄. 🐬 SeaWorld San Antonio ・A classic theme park with orca, dolphin, and beluga shows 🎪. ・Tip for Orca Show: Bring a raincoat or sit in the back row — we underestimated the splash and got soaked! 💦😂 🦒 Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch (Drive-Thru Safari) ・Stopped here on the way back — drive through and animals like giraffes, zebras, and ostriches will stick their heads in for food 🦓🍎. ・Remember to buy feed at the entrance!
