Texas-Mexico Border | A Wall, Two Worlds
Finally made it to the great state of Texas! This time, I visited the border town of El Paso. Drove all the way from AZ along I-10 east, passed through New Mexico, and spent 4 hours heading straight to Anthony, TX, where I saw the "Welcome to Texas" sign. 🚗💨 U.S.-Mexico Border Wall Navigated directly to Anapra Road, Sunland Park, NM 88063 (fun fact: this road actually belongs to New Mexico). Drove all the way to the end of this road, and there it was—Border Wall No. 357. Encountered two patrol vehicles along the way. The officers were friendly and let me take my time with photos, but they still recommended carrying a valid ID—just in case. 🛂📸 Overlooking the Border from Above 📍Scenic Drive is a winding mountain road with stunning views. From Murchison Rogers Park, you can see across to the other side. Came just before sunset and witnessed both day and night views~ The red "X" in Figure 1 marks the Mexican side, brightly lit and strikingly contrasted with the Texas side. 🌆🇺🇸🇲🇽 But what I was most excited about was Texas BBQ! Went to a place called Rudy’s “Country Store and Bar-B-Q.” Devoured the meat—so delicious! 😋🍖 And oh—filled up with $2.2/gallon gas. Probably the cheapest in the U.S. (road trip lovers, rejoice!). ⛽🎉 #Texas #TexMex #BorderLife #USMexicoBorderWall #ElPaso
